OPEIU President Michael Goodwin welcomes President Barack Obama to the AFL-CIO Executive Council Meeting on August 4, 2010. Obama told the Executive Council that he is going "to fight for the Employee Free Choice Act."

Delegates to the 25th OPEIU Convention, held June 21-24, unanimously re-elected Michael Goodwin to his sixth term as International President of the Office and Professional Employees International Union. Former International Vice President Mary Mahoney also was elected as Secretary-Treasurer, a position she was appointed to in January following the retirement of Nancy Wohlforth.
