Green P. Lewis was elected Vice President of Region III in 2004, and served as an International Representative since2001. Prior to that, he had a long career with the AFLCIO, serving as field representative, director of RegionV, assistant national director of the Field Service Department, and director of Community Services.
Prior to his union service, Lewis was a science teacher and assistant football coach. His education includes a degree from Fort Valley State University, advanced studies atAmerican University and the Southern Labor School, as well as Florida International University’s Institute for Labor Research and Studies.
He is married and lives in Columbus, Georgia.
